GETTING THERE AND PARKING
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT AND CLOSURES
Eats and Beats Street Series will be held Saturday 19 September 4.30pm - 8.30pm on Central Avenue, Oak Flats. Central Avenue will be closed between Kingston and Wentworth Streets from 2.30pm to 10.30pm to allow for setup and pack down. Griffiths and Fisher Streets between Reynolds Lane and Central Avenue and Ayers Lane and Central Avenue will also be closed. In and out access will still be possible for the Metro Petroleum car wash via Ayers Lane. Detours will be in place via Kingston and Moore Streets as well as Wentworth and Leamington Road/David Ave.
No, our event is FREE and no tickets are required. Simply rock up and enjoy! Plenty of free activities will be on offer however market stalls, food vendors and local businesses will still charge for their goods and services. Council is proudly partnering with Oak Flats Primary School who are bringing the rides as a fundraising initiative for their school. As part of this unlimited ride wristbands will be sold directly from the school on the day for $35 and single ride passes for $8. The school will also provide additional fundraising activities including a BBQ, show bags, glow sticks and a lucky dip for a small associated fee.

Yes! This is a FREE family-friendly event! Be sure to bring the whole family for an amazing evening full of entertainment.
Central Avenue is abundant with plenty of eateries. Make sure you support our local business and grab some lunch then dine on the streets under colourful bunting! More savoury food trucks will be available in between Fisher and Kingston Street to complement existing businesses and additional sweet food trucks in the ride zone ito satisfy all sugar cravings! Your attendance at this event grants your permission to be in these photos or videos, which may be used in printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. Official photographer’s will be wearing high vis vests labelled ‘Event Photographer’. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the photographer or event staff. Wristbands are also available from the information tent that you can wear so our photographer knows you do not wish to be photographed.
We recommend leaving your pets at home. Pets may feel anxious around crowds, event lighting or in loud event settings.
All guide dogs and support dogs are welcome!
Eats and Beats is an alcohol, vape and smoke free event. The only area where alcohol can be consumed is the ‘Cabaret Club’, where a bar will be available to purchase drinks as part of a 30 min show. BYO drinks are not possible, and everyone must leave the area at the end of the 30 minute show.
Event staff and security staff will be able to assist with found items. If you lose an item you can email events@shellharbour.nsw.gov.au
Lost children should be reported to Police, Security or inform Event Staff who will then notify Police if necessary.
