Shellharbour Carols By Candlelight 2025 may include some special effects such as lighting effects (including flashing lights) and loud noises as part of the show. We encourage attendees to be mindful of this when planning their visit.
There will be no fireworks at this year's Carols.
The parking station in closest proximity to the event zone has been allocated for accessible parking. This station is situated on a flat bitumen surface with paved footpaths located close by which attendees can follow to the accessible entry point.
Please note while we have chosen the flattest area for the entry, there is still a small incline.

Shellharbour City Council welcomes all visitors to Carols by Candlelight and are committed to making the event as safe and accessible as possible for everyone. This year we have enhanced our accessible inclusions to include:
a dedicated accessible parking station that is able to be pre-booked
an accessible entrance point to the event zone
an accessible viewing area that is able to be pre-booked
a sensory tent
accessible amenities in the permanent amenities block and also an additional accessible portaloo
Auslan interpreters on stage that are able to be viewed LIVE on stage via large LCD screens

You will need to show your booking confirmation to the traffic controller along with your mobility parking permit to access the accessible parking.
Yes, registration is FREE and you just need to show your booking confirmation to the traffic controller along with your mobility parking permit to access the accessible parking station.
Simply inform the traffic controllers and they will direct you to the drop off zone which is located just past the accessible parking station. Your passengers will be able to exit your vehicle at this point and follow the paved pathways to the event zone. You can then park your vehicle or exit the complex via the exit point by following the traffic controller instructions.
A dedicated accessible entry point is available directly from the accessible parking station. This point has been selected as has the lowest incline to Centenary Fields.
A dedicated accessible viewing area will be available to be pre-booked via Shellharbour Carols by Candlelight 2025 - Accessibility Booking Form.
This will be a 10m x 10m space that will be covered by flooring placed on the grass. Chairs will not be provided so if you do wish to have a chairplease bring along with you on the night (camping chairs etc).
The viewing area is located towards the back of the reserve and this location has been selected so that it is in close proximity to the accessible amenities.
This year the stage will have two large LCD screens on both sides that will show the live performances on stage as well as the Auslan interpreters live on stage so you will be able to see what is happening on the stage at all times.
Accessible amenities are located in the amenities block at Cententary fields. This block includes 1 x accessible toilet.In addition, portable toilets will be available which includes 1 x accessible toilet that includes a toilet, railing, flat entrance and a wide self closing door. From the accessible viewing area, the easiest path of travel to the amenities is via the accessible entry path and along the paved footpath to the amenities area.
A sensory tent provided by Real Life Community Group will be available and located within close proximity to the accessible viewing area. If you are feeling overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the event or just need some time out this is the perfect location to have some chill time supported by qualified staff.
